We are assessing how climate change impacts our value chain and are preparing for future regulatory requirements. We are exploring environmental objectives such as:

- To conserve natural resources and minimize waste through source reduction and recycling;
- To handle and dispose of waste through safe, environmentally responsible methods;
- To encourage energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources; and
- To encourage our business partners and suppliers to strive for the same high levels of environmental performance

Building upon our safety programs and driven by our commitment to sustainability through environmentally conscious production, we stand to protect the environment throughout our operations and the broader global value chain. This commitment to environmental awareness and preservation is adopted throughout our Company. We believe that sustainable business practices translate to strong financial performance as well as build customer loyalty, and improve employee engagement, while also strengthening the relationship we have with the communities in which we work, live, and operate.

Furthermore, we seek to partner with third parties committed to sustainability, including using cutting-edge technology to reduce our environmental footprint at our properties. For example, we lease almost 90,000 square feet of office space at 400 Spectrum Center (an Energy Star-certified building) in Irvine, California, from the Irvine Company, which deploys artificial intelligence and real-time analytics to manage waste in our building actively and designed our building with retractable doors and windows to bring fresh air and sunlight into workspaces. The Irvine Company actively manages and conserves energy resources, and its comprehensive approach has earned industry-leading recognitions, including:

- California's largest portfolio of LEED-certified buildings — a designation reserved for the most sustainable buildings by the U.S. Green Building Council.
- America’s largest collection of ENERGY STAR-certified buildings, as certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2020
- America’s largest collection of ENERGY STAR-certified buildings, as certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2020

Additionally, 400 Spectrum's building is dual-plumbed, which means that drinking water is delivered to kitchens and sinks while recycled water is used to cool the buildings and flush restrooms. Outdoor landscaping is also watered with recycled supplies. Using recycled water for these purposes saves millions of gallons of drinking water annually.
